Spurs wait for Van der Vaart, Liverpool failed in double raid, Schwarzer denied Gunners move & Santa Cruz in Eastlands limbo

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is still hoping to bring Real Madrid midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart to the Premier League in an £8 million deal. Last summer City, United and Chelsea were all believed to be coveting the 27-year-old, while in January a vast number of Premier League clubs were linked with the midfielder, notably Tottenham, Arsenal and Aston Villa.
