Hyderabad police have arrested South Indian Telugu film actresses Saira Banu and Jyothi in connection with prostiturion on August 23, 2010 Monday. The arrest was made in the high class Kundan Bagh locality, where these two were caught red handed with their customers along with one woman belonging to Uzbekistan.

Commissioner of Police AK Khan said that since past few days they were having their eyes on several suspects of drug consumption that included these actresses as well.

The police believe that some rich as well as some famous people are involved in this racket, as the Kundan Bagh is a locality that has houses of many Ministers, bureaucrats and other eminent personalities. Though, the officials have not revealed anyone else’s identity as of now.

The arrest of the actresses is another setback for the Telugu film industry; the earlier was in the same connection, where actress Seema was arrested in the year 2009.
