Mike Bibby will sign with the Heat after he clears waivers Wednesday, a source tells ESPN.com.
Bibby is being courted by several contending teams, but the Heat are the best fit. They are desperate for a point guard that won’t get rattled and can actually make an open jump shot when the Big Three are double-teamed. Bibby will eventually ascend to the starting job, but his fantasy value will be capped by a lack of shots and touches. Look for Carlos Arroyo to be handed his walking papers when/if Bibby signs.
