Westlife’s Kian Egan has become a father, as Jodi Albert gave birth to a boy yesterday. They called him Koa and straight after Kian tweeted the happy news the baby’s name became a trending topic!
He tweeted late last night: “Our Little baby Boy ‘Koa’ was born today at 6.10pm. @JodiAlbert_xxx is an amazing woman. Love them both so much. Both doing amazing, so proud.”
The singer then added: “Wow thanks guys. Amazing to see our little boy Koa is trending in the UK! And he’s only a few hrs old!”
The unusual name is the latest in a line of brilliantly bizarre baby names this year, from Harper Seven Beckham and Bingham Hawn Bellamy to Ace Billy Willis and Haven Garner Warren.
The couple announced their pregnancy in the summer and revealed they “cannot wait to be parents.”
Jodi reassured fans of her girl group Wonderland that the band would not be breaking up.
Westlife, on the other hand, revealed in October that they are disbanding after 14 years together.
At least that means Kian will get to spend lots of time with his newborn. Congrats to the family!
