Jay-Z is flying high on his personal life right now due to him and his singer wife Beyonce expecting their first child. However, after hearing that Lil’ Wayne’s latest track ‘It’s Good’ intentionally insulted him Jay-Z has said he wants nothing to do with the situation.
As you may recall, when Lil’ Wayne dropped ‘It’s Good’ the media was buzzing because it became clear there were insults within the track directed at Jay-Z. The track ‘It’s Good’ is believed to be a diss at Jay-Z and his singer wife Beyonce. Weezy snaps at Hov, spitting: “I got your baby money / Kidnap your bitch, get that how much you love your lady money.” This line seems to be a response to Jay-Z’s “H.A.M.” (from Watch The Throne): “Really you got baby money … You ain’t got my lady’s money.”
Although Lil’ Wayne has denied the claim he also hasn’t come out and said the lines were not about the famous duo.
Steve Stoute is a former record executive and a friend of Jay-Z who was interviewed recently and questioned about the diss. Stoute told reporters that Jay-Z responding to the insults would be a step backwards for him and he’s not about to do that to his career.
It seems Stoute is correct about Jay-Z as we haven’t heard anything but good things from the singer ever since his album with Kanye West topped the charts.
Do you think Lil’ Wayne’s track deserves a response from Jay-Z? Or is he being smart by staying out of it? Let us know!
