Hip-hop’s power couple is having a baby! Beyoncé rocked a baby bump to the 2011 VMAs!
Beyoncé announced at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards that she and Jay-Z are expecting their first child!
Lady Gaga may have opened the VMAs, but Beyoncé stole the show Sunday when she said, “I want you to feel the love that is growing inside of me” before launching into an energetic set.
Carrying a baby hasn’t slowed Beyoncé down yet, as she rocked the stage in a pair of high heels while performing “Love on Top!” And if it wasn’t clear enough that she was pregnant, Bey opened her jacket at the end of her set and rubbed her obviously swollen belly.
This has been a very well-kept secret, especially considering that “1+1″ diva had just performed four shows at the Roseland Ballroom in New York where she wore the sort of form-fitting costumes fans have grown accustomed to seeing her in.
MTV cameras got reaction shots from the crowd where proud papa Jay-Z was being congratulated by his Watch the Throne collaborator Kanye West. The smiles were contagious as they cheered Bey on for a job well done.
