After a hiatus of just a few days, Paulina Gretzky has resurfaced on Twitter.
The Great One’s 22-year-old wild child tweeted her followers late Wednesday that she was back in the Twitterverse, but it didn’t sound like she wanted Papa Wayne to know.
“Hi everyone I’m back! But shhh don’t tell my dad.”
But just as quickly as she posted her return, the tweet was erased.
Her account, which had been taken down earlier this week, remains open with the last tweet — “Taking a break from twitter for bit. Happy Holidays!!! Xoxo” — from Nov. 26, still displayed.
And replacing her former glam shot avatar is a wholesome photo of her with mom, Janet Gretzky, and her four brothers and sisters.
The model/singer/actress, who has a penchant for posting pictures of herself in provocative poses, disappeared from Twitter last weekend, apparently after a meeting with her disapproving dad.
Paulina, whose Twitter handle is @PaulinaGretzky, uses an almost childlike phrase to describe herself on her home page: “under the sea im a mermaid that sings.”
The Great One’s offspring, who has more than 34,000 Twitter followers, has become famous mostly for whose daughter she is, rather than for what she’s accomplished.
She recorded the song Collecting Dust, a tune that appeared on the hit MTV program Laguna Beach.
She’s also had a couple of minor movie roles, including 2009’s Fame remake and Guns, Girls and Gambling, with Gary Oldman and Christian Slater.
But it was photographs she posted of herself in skimpy, revealing outfits that caught the eye of online voyeurs across the globe. They also reportedly drew the ire of her father, who cultivated a squeaky clean image as an NHL superstar.
